Carbon & Oak

The first time I ever tried it was on my first guys' trip to Kentucky. We ended up with a pour of the 2019 Shenk's alongside the 2021 Bomberger's Declaration, and at the time I honestly didn't know much about either bottle. I just knew they were annual releases from Michter's that seemed to have developed a loyal following.

This one just happens to carry the name of the man who started it — the master distiller who selected the barrels that became Blanton's, and later got a bottle carrying his own name.
