Our Commitment
Carbon & Oak is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including visitors with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to read about bourbon, browse our BBQ guides, and shop our apparel without barriers, and we work to improve the accessibility of our site on an ongoing basis.
What We've Done
We aim to conform, as closely as we reasonably can, to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. As part of that effort, we have worked to:
-
Provide alternative text for meaningful images
-
Use clear heading structures so pages can be navigated with assistive technology
-
Choose color combinations intended to meet readable contrast levels
-
Ensure the site can be navigated using a keyboard
-
Set the language of the site so screen readers pronounce content correctly
-
Keep page layouts and navigation consistent throughout the site
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time fix, and we continue to review and improve the site over time.
Third-Party Content
Some features of our site rely on third-party services, including our e-commerce, print-on-demand fulfillment, and hosting providers. We don't control the accessibility of every third-party tool, but we choose our partners with usability in mind and welcome feedback about any part of the experience.
Let Us Know
We're a small, independent brand, and we genuinely want to hear from you. If you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere on Carbon & Oak — a page you can't navigate, an image without a description, text that's hard to read — please tell us so we can fix it.
Email us at: carbonandoakshop@gmail.com
Please include the page or feature you were using and a short description of the problem, and we'll do our best to help and to correct the issue.
